Briana's Dare to Dream, Sneaker Super Prom concept is designed to promote freedom of self-expression through footwear. The Sneaker Super Prom is about celebrating the “unique” in youth and capturing self-expression at the highest level. Sneakers have always been aligned with “cultural and symbolic power” and youth express themselves thru the power of their footwear. The theme, "Sneaker Swag" will encourage youth to wear their favorite sneakers along with their formal outfits.

Youth throughout GA will participate in a fun filled formal evening affair with live entertainment, DJ and carnival/film themed activities. The Sneaker Super Prom will kick off two separate proms for middle and HS students exclusively in February 2019. As we celebrate the month of Black History and its enriched culture, we also believe this activity is important for young people to interact with one another when they attend schools in other counties. The Super Prom's goals are to provide a fun and positive environment to enjoy the evening with their friends. This experience for one evening removes the pressures of their daily schedules and allows them to just have fun. Super Prom is also designed for students who may have never experienced a school prom due to receiving a GED or home schooled.
The ever-growing popularity of social media has created a level of social expectations for the teen culture and the need to be accepted/fit in which often creates a lot of pressure for youth who just want to be individuals. Super Prom will provide a platform that truly celebrates self-expression on their terms!
